SACRED SERVICE

One of the most fun things about being involved in a spiritual community is jumping into sacred service. It’s a great way to get to know everyone, to take part in all that’s going on, and to become an integral part of our community. There are so many ways to join in, including:

* KITCHEN ANGELS ~ From helping with coffee and cookies to organization, food, and cleanup for our monthly potluck, there are many opportunities to nurture our group through their tummies.

* TECH TEAM ~ Excited about helping us reach people from the stage and online? Join the crew with helping to stream our services, balance and run the sound and video, or even get in on the creation of our virtual classes and videos.

* DAILY WORD READERS ~ Enjoy oration? Be the one who shares Unity’s Daily Word messages during Sunday service!

* THE VOICES OF UNITY ~ Whether you’d like to sing with us, play an instrument, or help to manage the stage, we have a place for you!

* SERVICE PLATFORM LEADERS ~ If you have stage presence and nerves of steel, you can be the one who steers the service, announces each part, and navigates through, keeping Trish on track! We didn’t say it would be easy but it’s worth it! 😊

* FIELD TRIP FACILITATORS ~ Like to organize and lead expeditions for fun groups of people? You’ve come to the right place!

* BOOKSTORE ~ From sales to organization, our wonderful bookstore space can use friendly faces with a love of books and trinkets to provide suggestions and facilitate sales.

* YOUTH & FAMILY MINISTRY ~ One of the best ways to learn Unity is to teach it! You don’t have to be a teacher, just have a love for kids. We’ll provide the rest. You can step up to provide an extra set of eyes and hands to manage our group or even take on leading the whole thing with a bit of training from Trish. All leaders will need to have a background check, which we will provide, and then your enthusiasm. Warning: this ministry will keep you young and hip!

* SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM ~ Do you love social media? Know Facebook, Instagram, maybe even some other platforms we can dive off? Please step up to help us spread the word!

* DID WE LEAVE OUT SOMETHING YOU’D LIKE TO OFFER? STEP RIGHT UP!

Our music literally provides the soundtrack and sets the tone, the tempo, and the rhythm for Unity of Sebring. More than ……………..

Our Sunday morning chorale, The Voices of Unity, meets every Thursday evening at 5:15 for practice. …………………….

YOUTH & FAMILY

At the present time, are not offering separate youth classes and childcare. When covid caused the world to pause, our leaders stepped away. As of this time, no one has stepped back in to fill the available positions.

If you have children and would like to attend our Sunday service, we do have youth activity baskets available so that your children will have something quiet to keep them occupied so that you might be able to focus on the service. 😊

BEING UNITY IN OUR COMMUNITY

Aside from volunteering with other organizations around Highlands County, Unity of Sebring tithes a portion of our offerings to deserving organizations in our community, including: (put names and logos if we can find them, of Meals on Wheels, Sebring Angels, The Aferschool Spot, Champion for Children, Emmanuel UCC, First United Methodist Church of Sebring (I think they are changing their name to First Sebring Church or something like that, we can confirm), the food pantries ….

Unity Tithing to Our Community

Unity of Sebring is a tithing church. We believe in the power of tithing and like to do so in our own community. Each month we collect funds and/or items from our congregation for a community cause. In addition to what we collect from the congregation the Board of Trustees also tithes 10% of our offerings to a worth while organization. So far this year we have made the following contributions:
